| Headshot Symphony - Demo
by Lemon
Ahhh yes!...it pops, and it rocks...it's POP/ROCK! It's a fun, youthful, innocent,
light hearted, and energetic genre of music, that the kids can't seem to get enough of. Turn on MTV, and if you
don't catch a rap video or a rerun of The Real World, you're probably watchin pop/rock. It's an extremely flooded
market, making it close to impossible for newer bands to stand out and make a name for themselves.
Headshot Symphony combine the typical elements of pop/rock, with an extremely tasteful mellow vibe, but
aren't afraid to pack on the heaviness when the song calls for it. The guitar work is top notch, with ultra-catchy
melodic progressions, accented by well thought out bass work, which adds its own unique, moody undertone to the songs.
The drums are straight forward and powerful, and the vocals have a very pure and refreshing feel to them, great screams,
and strong lyrics.
Over all, Headshot Symphony have a good, solid sound to them. The songs as a whole could use
some tightening up and fine tuning, but stick these guys with a good producer...and they'd definately be on to something.
I strongly recommend picking up this E.P., and I'm excited to see what these guys do in the future!
